Taskovery
Looking to get some tasks done?
Post the job. A person reads it. The tradie who replies chose you, and is not one of five who bought your number.
Start here
What needs doing?
In your own words. We ask who you are after you have said it, not before.
How it goes
Three things happen.
You say what needs doing
Two minutes, in your own words. No account until you have said it.
A person reads it
Before any tradie sees it. That is why nobody gets sent a job that is not real.
One tradie replies
They chose your job. They are not one of five who bought your number.
The photography on this page is generated. It shows the kind of work Taskovery is for, not particular jobs or particular people.
The whole idea
A slot, not a lead.
Everywhere else sells your number to five tradies who then bid against each other. We sell nothing per lead. A tradie pays a flat monthly plan for a few live conversations, and a slot only frees when the job is finished.
Press and hold one. That is a tradie taking your job, and it is the only thing that fills a slot.

About
Washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, fridges and ovens. I carry the common parts in the van, so most jobs are done in one visit.
Rather they came to you? Post the job and the whole trade sees it.
Browse by trade
Find the trade you need
You do not have to pick one. Describe the problem and we work out who it goes to.
Two ways in
Ring someone now, or let the trade come to you
You’ll probably use both, on different days.
You ring them now
Best when the drain is blocked and it’s 7am.
- Seconds, not hours
- You pick, off their profile
- No numbers change hands
You post it, they come to you
Best when the job is bigger and you want a few people to weigh up.
- Reaches the whole trade at once
- They come to you
- Ends in a job you can review
You’re always the one choosing
No approval to wait on, nothing pending, nobody deciding for you.
The other way
Post it once, and the trade comes to you
You write it once. Every tradie in that trade who covers your suburb sees it.
Post a job
Every tradie nearby in this trade will see it

Intros
Clear out the garage · Grey Lynn · 3 intros
“We sort as we go, so anything recyclable goes to the transfer station separately and you’re not paying tip fees on cardboard.”
Ballpark $220“Two of us, about three hours. We’ll give the garage floor a proper clean once it’s empty, and that’s included.”
Ballpark $190“$140 covers the truck and tip fees for a standard load.”

Today
You pick, and you’re talking
You both land in a conversation. They see the job, send you a price, and you settle it with them directly.

You know who you’re letting in the door
Four separate checks, and you see all of them on every profile, including the ones a tradie hasn’t done. Each one says what it covers and what it doesn’t:
- Identity. A government photo ID, matched to the person running the profile. Required of every tradie before they can apply for your job.
- Business. An NZBN registered to the trading name, and the number is printed for you to look up.
- Proof of address. A recent statement or bill in the same name. Required of a sole trader, who has no company record to check instead.
- Trade licence. Current on the public register. In electrical, plumbing and restricted building work, a missing one is flagged in amber.
Taskovery Partner
For tradies: the work comes to you
Customers tap straight through to you, and you name your own price once you’ve seen the job.
Customers reach you in four taps
You’re two taps from the app opening, so you get rung before anyone posts anything.
No commission, ever
No commission on your work, ever. A flat monthly plan sets how many jobs you run at once, from $49. See the plans.
Ask the questions you can’t ask a customer
Other tradies only. Pricing, paperwork, which parts fail early.
See where your work comes from
Seen, opened, contacted, booked. You find out which step is costing you.
Reviews
What people said after the job was done
Every review here comes from someone who hired a tradie through Taskovery and saw the job through to Completed. Nobody else can post one.
Questions
What you’re probably wondering
Is it really 30 seconds?
That’s four taps: open, tap the trade, tap the tradie, tap Call. No search box, no form, nothing to read first. Thirty seconds is how long four taps and a ringing phone take.
Your first visit is longer. You sign in once with a code and tell us your name and suburb. Every visit after that is the four taps.
What we can’t promise is that they pick up. If everyone in that trade is on another roof, post the job instead and it reaches all of them at once.
Does the tradie get my phone number?
No. Calls run through Taskovery, so neither side ever sees the other’s number.
Your street address is only shared once you’ve picked someone. Until then they see your suburb and roughly how far away you are.
What does Taskovery cost me?
Nothing. Browsing, posting, reading intros and messaging are all free. You pay your tradie for the work and nothing on top.
There are no optional extras either. No fee, no add-on, no service charge, no insurance product. The price your tradie quoted is the exact amount that leaves your account.
We’re paid by the tradie’s side, not by you. Those numbers are published too.
How do I pay the tradie?
Your tradie invoices you directly. We are not in the payment, and nothing is added to the price you agreed.
Which also means we cannot reverse it. If the work is not right, take it up with them, and your Consumer Guarantees Act rights apply as they would on any job.
Payments aren’t switched on yet, so nothing has been charged to anyone. The app says so plainly.
Are any of the results paid for?
Some are, and they say so. Anyone who has bought a week of placement appears first in Best match and carries the word Promoted on the card. A tradie’s plan buys them no position at all.
Nothing else changes: same shield, same rating, same real reviews. And two sorts have no placement in them at all. Closest gives you the nearest, Top rated the best rated, with nobody able to pay their way up.
Which areas are covered?
Right across New Zealand. Every tradie sets their own coverage area, so you only see people who genuinely come to your town.
Posting works anywhere in the country, and keeps working as more tradies join.

Everything above already works here. When the iPhone app lands, you also get:
- Ring them, without giving them your number.
- Know straight away when someone replies to you.
